Online Store and Order by Phone Policies

Shopping Cart:

• We have chosen PayPal to host our shopping cart. PayPal is the most reliable, safest way
  to trade on the internet.
• When ordering, add the item of your choice into your shopping
  cart and complete transaction securely through PayPal.
• If applicable, please note the size or color you want shipped.
• Valid shipping address is required to complete all transactions.
• You may also add special instructions to your order or just give us a call at 1-800-607-0452.


• Don't have a PayPal Account? No Problem!! We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express by
  phone 6 days a week.

Ordering:

• We accept all orders via telephone Monday-Friday 7:30-5:30est and Saturday 7:30-4:00.
• When calling (1-800-607-0452) ask for the Internet Sales Dept. We have folks who will gladly
  assist you with your order.
• We take great pride in personal customer service and use this method in addition to Paypal's online
  shopping cart. Our sales people can assist you in sizes, colors, special orders, etc.
• All customers must supply a valid Name, Address, Phone Number, Email Address and valid payment
  method for online orders.

Shipping:

• Shipping costs are designated for each individual item.
• We do combine shipping on multiple items purchased provided they are
  shipped to same location on same day in the same box or packaging.
• Call in your order for combined shipping.
• All items are inspected, securely packaged, and leave our store in good condition.
• We ship Monday thru Friday.
• Insurance is optional on all items we ship. Please specify when ordering.
• We use USPS Priority Mail or DHL Ground Exclusively for all shipments.

Payment:

• All orders are payable in U.S. Funds via any of our payment methods.
• We accept: Visa, Master Card and American Express by telephone.
• Money orders are accepted by mail.

International Shipping Policy:

• For Shipping Outside the Continential U.S.:
• Additional Shipping Charges will apply to any item shipped outside the U.S.
• All international orders must be paid in U.S. Funds with
  PAYPAL (hhgcweb@charter.net) or U.S. money order before shipment.

Sales Tax:

• All North Carolina Residents must pay 7% Sales Tax.

Damaged Items:

• Must call and confirm before returning any damaged items.

Cancellations:

• Already shipped items cannot be cancelled.

Return Policy:

• We accept returns of merchandise within three weeks (21 days) of receipt. Returned
  merchandise must be accompanied by the original receipt and all packaging and original
  tags. Absolutely no returns on Electrical devices or carburetor parts. No returns on
  "special ordered" parts. (parts we do not normally stock). No refunds on shipping charges.*
• Returned/Exchanged merchandise will be shipped at the customer's expense.
  The final decision to issue or deny full credit will be made by
  Hickory Home and Garden Center, Inc. Merchandise returned without a
  "Return Authorization Number" will be subject to our standard restocking fee.
• Returns and cancellations are subject to a 15% restocking fee.*
• *Returns due to an error on our part will not be due to restocking
  fees, and we pay shipping when correcting our error.

Want it in a hurry?

• We can ship USPS EXPRESS MAIL for Overnight Shipments. Please Email or Call to
  find out additional estimated costs. Customer will be billed actual additional
  shipping charges.

Lost or Damaged Goods:

• All merchandise is inspected before shipping. If any merchandise is received
  broken, or any merchandise is missing, the customer must contact the shipping
  company (United States Post Office or other) and file a claim. Hickory Home and
  Garden Center, Inc. is not responsible for merchandise that is stolen, damaged,
  destroyed or lost by the shipping company, the purchaser or other parties. If you
  receive a damaged package, indicate "DAMAGED" when you sign for it. Hold the
  shipping carton and all goods and file a claim with the shipping company.
